The new addition

Well I promised photos of the newest baby in the family* and here she is.....

...meet 'M'.....notice the letter 'M' on her head? If it's good enough for James Bond's boss....

Isn't she pretty? Check out those markings....

She's very spoiled already....can you tell?

In other news today is the day that quite a lot of Australians enjoy 'the race that stops a nation'. Well it doesn't stop me. I don't care for horse racing so I boycott it. I don't attend any glitzy fashion show lunches wearing a hat. Not me, today I stayed home and had boiled eggs on toast for lunch...that'll show 'em.

*It suddenly occurred to me that not everyone would have read the first post announcing M's existence..so I should clarify that she is, unfortunately, not ours - she belongs to my sister and her family so she is in fact my kitty-niece.

Yes she's lovely isn't she? I have kitten envy too, I'm now wondering if we might 'need' another cat to keep Sophie company.

oh she is cute! swampy keeps wanting one and spooky told him yesterday there will be some at our local cat and kitten rescue in four weeks...they were born there not long ago.

i hate horse racing too...and football...i was once accused of being 'unsupportive of our nation' when i refused to watch some big match! ha!

well i know I have 5 cats already, but you know the saying..new house, new baby... well i am far too old and grumpy for the real sort... (and single so theres another problem!) so i am thinking just maybe I could squeeze a new baby of the cat variety into my new home.... Leanne x

Dave, not in my experience they don't (and I've had cats my whole life). In fact they're very clean and fastidious. Litter trays can smell if not properly maintained or poor quality litter is used but that's hardly the cats' fault. Fortunately Sophie goes outside for that 'business' so we don't have a litter tray to worry about.

Lee, you must get one...how could you resist? Oh and my objections to horse racing are slightly contentious in the fmaily as my mother-in-law breeds race horses. We just agree to disagree. I also hate football of all kinds too - but I love cricket...don't I Dave?

Leanne, you can never have too many cats...go on...

I'm horrified that I used 'also' and 'too' in the same sentence...it's really bothering me.

I need to get a life.
